THE CONCEPT
When Ambrogio15 first opened its doors nine years ago, we set out to bring authentic Milano flavors to Pacific Beach, grounded in passion, simplicity, and the joy of gathering. Over time we built something special — thanks to guests who believed in what we did and in what Italian food can be: honest, soulful, and generous.
Today, we’ve grown. We’ve celebrated many nights, learned through challenges, and deepened our respect for what “authentic” really means. The seasons, the land, the stories — they all shaped us. And now it’s time to bring all that together in a new chapter: Ambrogio15 – Milano Pizza & Modern Trattoria.
Our Philosophy Remains.
We haven’t forgotten who we are. Our hearts are still in Milano pizza tradition. The same love for wood-fired ovens and paper-thin crusts baked to perfection. The dishes you’ve come to know and love — like Salamino Piccante, Prosciutto & Burrata, Hannibal Lecter and Salsiccia & Porcini — will still be at the center of our table.
We’re elevating every aspect of the dining experience. Materia prima — the raw ingredients — take center stage, with seasonality, provenance, and respect for the produce guiding every dish. Our six signature pastas, crafted by our chefs Filippo Giglio and Fabio Pizzigoni, highlight our dedication to regionally inspired, thoughtful cooking. You’ll find rotating menu and new specials, creative twists on beloved classics, and new dishes that reflect both our Italian heritage and the vibrant spirit of San Diego. And while quality and creativity are rising, our commitment to affordable excellence remains — because true hospitality means offering excellence without exclusivity.
